CANNABIS NURSING

Cannabis Nursing

Overview

Cannabis Nursing is a specialized practice area grounded in evidence-based education, patient advocacy, and clinical guidance regarding the therapeutic use of cannabis. In alignment with the standards of the American Cannabis Nurses Association (ACNA), cannabis nurses provide informed, ethical, and patient-centered care by educating individuals about the endocannabinoid system, safe use practices, potential risks, and current research. The role emphasizes harm reduction, interdisciplinary collaboration, and supporting patients in making informed decisions about cannabis as part of their overall health and wellness plan.
